The Hot Spot augment gives you a chance to catch two fish from a single cast of your fishing rod. The higher the level of this augment, the better your chances of landing an extra fish. Hot Spot can catch any tier of fish, though the type of fish is biome-dependent unless your rod has Biome Disruption.

While Hot Spot offers a bonus fish roughly 80% of the time when it activates, it does not work in the rain—use the Call of the Storm augment to address this.

Ideal for both early and late-game players, Hot Spot is likely one of the first augments you'll create and is excellent for maximizing your fish catch potential. Note that it doesn’t work with the Divine Judgement fishing skill but will contribute to a fishing combo.

Call of the Storm enhances your fishing by giving you a chance to catch two fish from a single cast while it’s raining. The effectiveness of this augment increases with its level, improving the likelihood of landing an additional fish. It can catch any tier of fish, but the type is biome-dependent unless your fishing rod has Biome Disruption. Note that Call of the Storm only works in rain; use the Hot Spot augment to activate this buff when not raining.
