Catching Custom Fish

Catching custom fish is straightforward:

Cast Your Rod: Simply cast your fishing rod into any body of water and wait for a bite.
Check Your Codex: If you don’t catch a custom fish after a few attempts, refer to your fish codex. This will show you where to find every custom fish in the plugin.

Selling Fish

Selling fish is easy:

Command: Use /fish shop to access the shop and sell your fish.

Fishing Level

Your Fishing Level impacts several aspects of your fishing experience:

Augments: Craft augments depending on your level.
Fishing Totem: Unlock and construct the Fishing Totem at level 20.
Skill Points: Earn skill points for upgrading and unlocking skills.

Entropy Overview

Entropy is the custom currency used in the fishing plugin. It is essential for crafting augments and upgrading deliveries.

Earning Entropy

Here’s how you earn entropy from catching and gutting fish:

Tiers:
- Catching Fish
  - Bronze: 45
  - Silver: 110
  - Gold: 200
  - Diamond: 350
  - Platinum: 1250
  - Mythical: 10000
- Gutting Fish
  - Bronze: 40
  - Silver: 120
  - Gold: 200

  - Platinum: 1000
  - Mythical: Not Guttable

Increasing Entropy

Augments: Invest in augments like:
- Hot Spot: Catches multiple fish at once.
- Call of the Storm: Same as Hot Spot but works in the rain.
- Precision Cutting: Increases entropy from gutting fish.
- Perception: Increases entropy from catching fish.
Boosters: Use boosters to multiply entropy earnings. Boosters can be earned from delivery rewards or spawned with /fish giveitem. They last 30 minutes and only boost entropy from catching fish.
Totems: Totems are mid to late-game structures that enhance entropy earnings. Use the Entropy Hoarder passive to gain up to 25% more entropy from each fish caught.

Here are some custom items you can obtain from various mobs:

Fishing Skills

Fishing Skills enhance your performance and efficiency in fishing. You can upgrade skills using Skill Points, earned as you level up in fishing.

Types of Skills

Upgradable Skills: 5 skills that cost one point per upgrade. Balance your points initially and then focus on specific skills as needed.
One-Time Purchase Skills: Passive effects purchased with a flat amount of Skill Points. These scale with your Fishing Level, improving as you level up.

Recommended Skills

Better Gutting: Improves entropy from gutting.
Luck of the Catch: Increases the chance of catching custom fish.
Master Augmenter: Beneficial for crafting augments like Perception and Precision Cutting.

Scales

The /fish scales feature allows you to try your luck at earning more, or less, money from your fish.

Using the Scales Feature

Open Scales Menu: Use the command /fish scales or access it through the main menu.
Drag and Drop Fish: Place fish into the available slots in the GUI.
Select Scale Type: Choose from Low, Medium, High, or Extreme.
Scale Your Fish: Press the Anvil to scale your fish.

Understanding Scales

After scaling, your fish will gain a random 'weight'. This weight affects the price of the fish:

Price Increase/Decrease: The change is always a percentage based on the fish’s normal sell price.

Gutting

Gutting is the process of extracting additional Entropy from fish. While it yields less Entropy compared to catching fish, it is useful for boosting your entropy reserves when needed. Note that gutting only produces Entropy; no additional items are obtained, and the process cannot be undone.

How to Gut Your Fish

Access the Gutting Menu: Use /fish gut or go through /fish menu -> Gutting Station.
Drag and Drop Fish: Place your fish into the Gutting Station menu.
Close the Menu: Your fish will be gutted, and you will receive Entropy.

Boosting Income from Gutting Fish

You can enhance your Entropy earnings from gutting by using:

Precision Cutting Fishing Augment: Increases Entropy from gutting fish.
Better Gutting Fish Skills: Improves Entropy gained from gutting. Note that these boosters do not stack but work independently based on the base income from gutting fish.

Deliveries

You can earn a new delivery every 180 custom fish that you catch. Once you reach this number, you will receive a notification in chat about your new delivery. You can also see how many fish are needed for your next delivery by hovering over the delivery icon in the fish menu.

How Deliveries Work

Earn a Delivery: Catch 180 custom fish.
Obtain Fish: Catch, trade, buy, or obtain the required fish.
Start the Delivery: Click on the delivery icon to initiate it. This will consume the fish and remove them from your inventory.
Wait for the Timer: A timer will count down before you can collect your reward.
Collect Your Reward: Click on the icon in the delivery menu to claim your reward.

Upgrades

There are five distinctive upgrades to help with completing and earning deliveries:

Upgrade Description
- Increase Capacity: Increases the number of deliveries you can hold at once.
- Overclocked: Reduces the time taken to deliver all deliveries.
- Expert Deliverer: Reduces the fish needed for deliveries.
- Pay Rise: Increases the entropy reward from completing deliveries.
- Lucky Charm: Reduces the amount of fish needed to earn a new delivery.

It is recommended to prioritize upgrading Lucky Charm and Increase Capacity to maximize your delivery opportunities.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I get to keep the fish after the delivery is completed? No, the fish are consumed during the delivery process.
Do I need to put fish inside of my Fish Bag to hand them in? No, the Fish Bag is optional. You can hand in fish from your inventory directly.
Do I need inventory space? Yes, ensure you have inventory space before claiming a delivery.
Do I get both the reward and the entropy reward? Yes, you receive both rewards.
Do I have to hand in all of the fish at the beginning of the delivery? Yes, all required fish must be in your inventory before starting a delivery.
Can I get rid of a delivery? Yes, you can delete all deliveries except Mythical ones. Middle-click in the delivery menu or use /fish removedelivery <slot>, where slots start at 1 and go up to 15.

Augments

Augments are custom enchantments crafted to enhance various aspects of your fishing experience. They can only be applied to Fishing Rods.

Open the Crafting Interface: Drop the required items into a cauldron and hit it with a fishing rod.

Applying Augments to Your Fishing Rod

Open the Fish Augmenter

Command: Use /fish augment or access through /fish menu -> Augments.

Drag and Drop

Place Your Fishing Rod: Put your Fishing Rod in the first slot.
Add the Augment: Place the Augment in the second slot.

Accept the Augmentation

Apply the Augment: Click on the Lime Stained Glass Pane to apply the augment.

Removing Augments

Open the Fish Augmenter

Command: Use /fish augment or access through /fish menu -> Augments.

Insert Fishing Rod

Place Your Fishing Rod: Put your Fishing Rod into the first slot.

Confirm Removal

Remove Augments: Click on the TNT icon to remove the augments.
Note: Removing augments costs 25,000 Entropy. If you lack inventory space, the augments will drop on the ground.

FAQ

I keep picking up items when throwing them in the cauldron. Try standing directly above the cauldron or place a block next to it to prevent item pickup.
Can I put more items in than needed? Yes, you can throw in more items than required. Extra items will be refunded to you.
How do I level up an Augment? Craft another version of the Augment and add it to your fishing rod. For an Augment with a max level of 10, you need to craft 10 copies to reach the maximum level.
Is there an augment limit on my fishing rod? No, there is no limit. You can apply as many augments as you wish to your fishing rod.
